Ethopabate………………..16 gm
DESCRIPTION:
Amprolium is a coccidiostat (antiprotozoal) used for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in chickens (broilers and breeders) and other fowl such as turkeys, with activity against Eimeria spp., especially Eimeria tenella and Eimeria necatrix.
Ethopabate is a veterinary drug used in the prophylaxis and treatment of coccidiosis in chickens. It is an arylamide containing one phenyl ring, belonging to monocyclic aromatics, is a very safe drug. It has anticoccidial activity especially against intestinal forms and lacks activity against E.
INDICATION:
Amprobit Liquid is indicated for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in poultry birds due to Emeria tenella, E.necatrix, E. acervulina, E.maxima, E.brunette and E.mitis etc.
Pharmacological Properties:
Amprobit Liquid is a combination of twin anticoccidials which is highly effective in the control of major Emeria species of birds.
Amprobit Liquid provides protection against sever infection and mortality, but also allows sufficient coccidial exposure to stimulate the immune response which assist in the establishment of natural immunity.
Amprolium hydrochloride is an antagonist of thiamine, as rapidly dividing coccidia have a high requirement of thiamine which is blocked by Amprolium. Amprolium acts upon the first generation of schizonts and highly effective against early stages of infection. lt exhibits high activity against Eimeria tenella and E. acervulina.
Amprobit Liquid is structural antagonist of folic acid or para-amino-benzoic acid (PABA). hence Ethopabate blocks the rapid synthesis of coccidian nucleic acid. Ethopabate is active against E.maxima, E.burnette E.necatrix.
Dosage and Administration:
Administer the following dose in drinking water
Poultry:
1-2 ml / Liter of drinking water for 5 days, Large animals: 2-4ml / Head for 5 Days.
STORAGE:
Use medicated drinking water within 24 hours. Don’t use along with Vitamin B supplementation. Store below 30°C in a cool and dry place.
