COMPOSITION:

Procaine penicillin G B.P …………………..200mg
Streptomycin Sulphate B.P ……………….250mg

DESCRIPTION:
Penicillin Injectable is indicated for treatment of bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever) caused by Pasteurella multocida in cattle and sheep, erysipelas caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae in swine, and strangles caused by Streptococcus equi in horses.

INDICATIONS:
It is indicated for use in cattle, horses and sheep for the treatment of systemic infection caused by, or associated with, organisms Corynebacterium pyogenes, Erysipelothrix, rhusiopathiae, Klebsiella pneumonia. Listeria spp, Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella, multocida, Staphylococcus spp (non penicillinase producing), streptococcus spp, and Salmonella spp, pneumonia, Lesteriosis. The combination of penicillin and streptomycin is especially useful in the treatment of mixed infections involving both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATIONS: 
Administered by deep intramuscular Injection. Recommended dosage rate is 8mg/kg body weight procaine penicillin with 10mg/kg body weight streptomycin sulphate equivalent to 1 ml per 25kg body weight. Treatment should be given once daily for up to three consecutive days.

Keep in a cool and dry place below 30 ⁰C.
Protect from light.
Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.
Shake well before use.
Use within 28 days after reconstitution.
